Last night I had a craving for brownies, so I made some!
Fudgy Brownies
1-1/4 cup pitted medjool dates
1 cup raw walnut pieces
1/2 cup cacao powder
pinch sea salt
Combine dates, walnuts, cacao powder and salt in a food processor and pulse until a dough has formed.
Chop 1/2 cup of walnuts just slightly and mix into dough.
Press into a pan and cut into squares.
Top with Raw Chocolate Sauce
Raw Chocolate Sauce*
INGREDIENTS
4 Tb coconut oil, melted
2 Tb maple syrup
3 Tb raw cacao powder
1 tsp vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS
Whisk together all ingredients into a small bowl until completely smooth. The more coconut oil you add, the more thick the syrup will be.
Place into a pouring bottle and chill in the fridge for 10 minutes to thicken a little. If the sauce is too cold and thickens up too much, simply place closed bottle into a bowl of hot water until it melts.
Simply rawesome!!
